ABOUT

A freshman at the school of international relations, I was walking back to my dorm room and saw a crowd in front of me. Everybody was looking at a film set in the middle of the street. It was the first time in my life that I saw a film production, and it looked like a miracle to me. A small reality of film was being created inside a big reality of life. It was a portal to another world. I stayed there, fascinated, and wished I could be a part of it.

Years later, I started my cinema studies in City College of San Francisco and then got a B.A. degree in Cinema from San Francisco State University. During my time at SFSU I was exploring different ways of storytelling while making short film projects of my own.

I'm passionate about editing because it is storytelling. It gives me a chance to always look for structure in a story, for things to hide and to reveal to help a story breathe.

My most recent work experience has been working as a video editor for Malka Media Group, a creative agency based in Jersey City, NJ. I have edited commercials, testimonials, event highlights as well as  music videos, tutorials and demo reels. My next step is to edit a wider variety of commercials, music videos, fiction and documentary short films.
